Groningen - often called the world's number one cycling city

Mayor urged by cyclists to look to the Netherlands

Help
London Mayor Boris Johnson has been urged to look to the Netherlands for ways to improve cycling in London.
In Groningen - often called the world's number one cycling city - cars and bikes are separated wherever possible and where they do meet, cyclists often have the right of way.
There are also special traffic lights for cyclists.
Jacques Wallage, the former mayor of Groningen, and former racing driver Sir Stirling Moss give their views on whether such initiatives could work in London.
